We’re looking for an experienced Reverse Engineering Expert (m/f/x) in the field of radio-frequency communication protocols. Our state-of-the-art RF sensor technology uses software defined radios in combination with high-performance signal processing to analyze, classify and identify hundreds of drone communication protocols in real time. We’re expanding our team with passionate experts to design and build the next evolution of our platform.

You will…

  • Design and implementation of software components to detect, classify and identify drones, remote controls, FPVs and other transponders using RF signal analysis and protocol reverse engineering approaches
  • Analysis and feature extraction from within the frequency spectrum using Dedrone proprietary tools and common SDR frameworks
  • Reverse engineer and document protocols at control layer and hardware reverse engineering for selected models
  • Build up knowledge base of common protocols and communication patterns
  • Work closely with DroneDNA team to maintain leadership in drone detection technologies

You have…

  • Degree in electrical or communications engineering, mathematics, computer science, physics or similar
  • Extensive knowledge of RF (radio frequency) based communication protocols, modulations, real time digital signal processing and frequency analysis
  • Very strong analytical skills and structured work approach
  • Programming skills in C/C++
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  • Fluent in English or German, able to express ideas and opinions clearly
